My County Poster Contest 2017

The awards ceremony for the 25th Annual My County Poster Contest took place on Wednesday, April 5 in the Superior Courts Facility here. The winners, all fourth graders, were honored with a reception in the presence of their family, teachers and school personnel by Cape May County’s Constitutional Officers - Surrogate M. Susan Sheppard, County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti and Undersheriff Robert Nolan representing Sheriff Gary G. Schaffer. The twelve winning posters are on display in the Court House Lobby during the month of April to commemorate County Government Month and will be featured on a 2018 color full color poster calendar to be distributed in December to the winners and the 2018 fourth grade class. The annual event brings awareness of the function of county government to fourth grade students who study local government as part of their curriculum.

Each winner received a tote filled with items and a personalized mug imprinted with the winner’s artwork. The 1st place winner will also received a $100.00 gift card plus a pizza party with his/her home room classmates, 2nd and 3rd place winners each received a $50.00 gift card.
