During this challenging time, Cape May County Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton is requesting that all residents say “Thank You” to our brave first responders, who put their lives on the line each day to protect us. “While the coronavirus pandemic has upended life for nearly everyone, healthcare workers, first responders and other essential workers have had to face more risks than most,” said Thornton. “We appreciate what they’re doing. They’re in a high risk situation and we have to rely on them in times of need.”

Freeholder Jeff Pierson adds, “It is with humility that we extend our thanks to all our responders in Cape May County, especially our nurses who we honor during Nurses Week. Thank you for showing up daily in the face of fear and fighting for the health of our loved ones. Thank you for risking your lives and for continuing to stay on the front lines battling coronavirus.”
