NJSP course at the NJSP Galloway Station:
NJSP ALCOTEST 7110 MKIII-C INITIAL OPERATOR TRAINING
This four day course certifies new Alcotest Operators. Students will be trained how to properly conduct a breath test using the Alcotest as well as how to properly change the simulator solution. In order to participate in this training, a student must be a sworn law enforcement officer for a period of at least one year.
NJSP ALCOTEST 7110 MKIII-C RECERTIFICATION TRAINING
This 4 hour class recertifies Alcotest Operators. Students will be trained how to properly conduct a breath test using the Alcotest as well as how to properly change the simulator solution. In order to participate in this training, students must have completed their initial Alcotest course or a recertification class 2014 or 2015. Students are required to bring their Alcotest Operator cards for validation.
NJSP DWI DETECTION-STANDARDIZED FIELD SOBRIETY TESTING COURSE
This five day course is to assist law enforcement personnel in detecting impaired drivers. Students will learn how to administer and interpret the three Standardized Field Sobriety Tests including the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test, the Walk and Turn Test, and One Leg Stand Test.
NJSP DWI/SFST REFRESHER COURSE
The primary purpose of the "Four-Hour Driving While Intoxicated/Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Refresher Course" is to improve the overall consistency of the administration of the SFST test battery by individual police officers. Officers can refresh their skills with recognizing and interpreting evidence of DEW, administering and interpreting the scientifically validated sobriety tests and describing the DWI evidence clearly and convincingly. In order to participate in this training, officers must have previously attended the five-day DWI Detection/SFST Course offered by the New Jersey State Police.
