Peter J. Bosak PhD, Superintendent, Cape May County Department of Mosquito Control won Best of Show in the 2014 National Arts Program (NAP). Bosak’s sculpture, “Too Close to the Sun”, also won 1st place in the Intermediate Division.
The Culture and Heritage Commission presented the awards during the opening of the exhibit on November 12th at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center. The 13th Annual Exhibit and Awards included 120 works of art submitted by 75 local artists. The NAP show was judged and all artwork entered under the Program’s Rules of Exhibit were displayed in 5 classifications; Amateur, Intermediate, Professional, Youth 12 years and under and Teen 13-18 years.
Eligible participants included county government employees and family members, Cape Regional Medical Center employees or volunteers and Cape May County Heritage Round Table arts and history group members. Also, students from all our county school districts were eligible to participate in the program.
