This department inspects all 46 public and proprietary campgrounds once during the summer season. Our inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with Chapter XI, Public Campgrounds (NJAC 8:22-1.1).

The campground is inspected to make sure there are no septic overflows, trash and garbage is handled properly, sites are free of noxious weeds and bath houses are properly equipped and maintained.
