From a quick, casual bite to the elegant dinner, you'll find it at the Jersey Cape!

For early birds or anyone who thinks breakfast is the most important meal of the day, don't worry, there are plenty of choices from pancake houses, diners or Boardwalk concession stands – a great place for anyone who enjoys a morning bike ride or run.

Many restaurants cater to families and are kid-friendly with special children’s menus, crayons, or other activities to keep the little ones happy. Farm-to-table options are becoming an increasingly popular way to sample fresh local produce and products, perfectly prepared by local chefs.  Ask about paring your meal with some of our local wines and beers.

From Ocean City to Cape May Point there are more than 700 restaurants that will cater to your taste and pocketbook. From alfresco to fine dining to take-out, you will not go away hungry.

At the end of the day, early bird specials or prix fixe dinners add value; a few restaurants offer dessert service until around midnight, perhaps with a cappuccino or after dinner drink. Check ahead to see if your restaurant choice requires reservations. Late night dining is never a problem at the Jersey Cape, many restaurants offer deck or dockside menus with options that top of an action packed day.

Of course, there are always a great array of what we call "boardwalk cuisine", found along our famous boardwalks and promenades, there you can get some of the best pizza,  fries, hoagies, cheese steaks, funnel cake, hot dogs and many other summer choices that are quick, tasty and fit most budgets – just watch out for those pesky seagulls who are always looking for their next meal!

The latest trend is food truck dining and we have them too!  The Sea Isle City Food Truck Festival, held in June and September, was ranked as one of the best in the country.  Food trucks are finding their way on the Wildwood Boardwalk and you are sure to find a few at special events and at local farmer's markets.  The food is good, often eclectic and many offer gourmet. Give 'em a try!

Many restaurants provide special menus to satisfy every palate and diet. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices are listed on the menu and most chefs welcome the opportunity to make sure that dietary requests are taken into consideration.  So if you don't see what you want on the menu, just ask and chances are you'll get to enjoy an entrée prepared especially for you.

When referring to "local", it is more than just fruits and vegetables, it also applies to seafood, wine and beer.  So get "local' whenever you can.
