Let's Go Fishing on the Jersey Cape
The Cape May County Fishing Tournament runs from January 1 and closes December 31. The contest started in 1936 and is considered one of the longest continually running fishing contest on the east coast. For generations, families have entered their catch in the contest, vying for tackle prizes awarded to the top three fish in each category. The contest has a youth division that recognizes anglers 16 years old and younger. Enter your catch at one of our many weigh stations located at marinas and bait and tackle shops in Cape May County.

Every Fisherman who enters the Jersey Cape Fishing Tournaments will receive a free official Tournament Badge by return mail.
Recognition Awards
Fish over the minimum weights are eligible for a Recognition Award Pin and a Recognition Awards Citation. Your first Recognition Fish qualifies you for the pin and citation. Subsequent Recognition fish will earn a citation. Wear your Recognition Pin. Frame your citations.
