[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Update - 2/17/21

For vaccine information on where, when, who, and how, please visit capemaycountynj.gov. The Cape May County Department of Health administered 402 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on February 16, 2021, for a total of 7893 doses so far. The New Jersey Health Department reports that 21,165 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Cape May County when combining the vaccine doses given out by the Cape May County Department of Health and other entities. This total number of doses includes a combination of first and second doses.

COVID-19 cases are down again in Cape May County. Total cases were down 12% when comparing Feb. 10 to Feb. 16 versus the seven days prior, according to data from the Cape May County Department of Health. The website covidactnow.com reports that the Rate of Transmission (RT) in the County is .91. When reviewing RT data, any number below 1.0 means the spread of the COVID virus is slowing at that time.

The Cape May County Department of Health is announcing today that 32 new positive test samples were collected among County residents over the past several days. While Cape May County has recorded 6535 COVID-19 cases during the pandemic, 6005 of those are now off quarantine.  Additionally, there is 1 new out of county positive case that is included in the Non-resident Active Cases listed below.
