[ARCHIVED] Funding Opportunity for Housing Projects Available to Eligible Agencies

The Cape May County Department of Human Services wishes to make eligible agencies aware of the following funding opportunity for Housing projects

 

Applications for NEW PROJECTS will be accepted from eligible organizations interested in applying for 2021 HUD funding from Bonus, Domestic Violence Bonus, and Reallocated funds to provide permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing, and supportive services. A Review Committee will evaluate proposals based on objective performance criteria, local needs and priorities, and make recommendations to the SNJCoC Executive Board on the prioritization of these funds. The Committee reserves the right to request additional information as needed.  

Southern New Jersey CoC is eligible  to apply for:

  • Up to $298,429 in new project bonus funding to create a new permanent supportive housing project for chronically homeless individuals (CoC Priority); and
  • Up to $895,288 in Domestic Violence (DV) Bonus projects dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking (24 CFR 578.3).

SNJCoC are also seeking applications for the following type of DV Bonus projects:

  • Permanent Housing- Rapid Rehousing projects dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking that are defined as home (24 CFR 578.3)
  • Supportive services only– coordinated entry project to implement policies, procedures, and practices that equip the CoC’s coordinated entry to better meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. 

DV Bonus funds can also be used to expand an existing renewal project if the expansion project is dedicated to survivor of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
