Beginning on Monday, December 13th, and lasting for approximately two weeks, DeHirsch Avenue (C.R. 550) in Woodbine will be closed to thru traffic and a detour will be in place. This will be a 24 hour per day detour to permit the reconstruction of DeHirsch Avenue from Washington Avenue (C.R. 557) to Madison Avenue.
Motorists heading west on DeHirsch Avenue (C.R. 550) will be detoured south onto Fiddler Hill Road (C.R. 660) then west onto South Dehirsch Avenue. Motorists will continue west on South DeHirsch Avenue to Washington Avenue (C.R. 557).
Motorist approaching DeHirsch Avenue (C.R. 550) from Washington Avenue wishing to head east on DeHirsch Avenue will be directed to South DeHirsch Avenue. Motorists will continue heading east on South DeHirsch Avenue to Fiddler Hill Road (C.R. 660). They will then turn onto Fiddler Hill Road and head north back to DeHirsch Avenue (C.R. 550).
Business access will be maintained at all times and residents will have access to their homes. Local traffic will also be maintained up to Madison Avenue. At Madison Avenue and at Washington Avenue, a hard closure will be installed, and motorists will not be permitted into the work zone. Motorists are to proceed with caution and are to obey the 25 MPH posted speed along South DeHirsch Avenue which will be strictly enforced.
