One of the key tourism indicators continues to track similar to the increases seen last year. New State data was released this week and Cape May County was up 16% in Occupancy Tax data for May compared to last year. Throughout the first five months of the year, Cape May County has seen a 34.4% increase over the same time in 2022, which is outpacing the growth Statewide which is 18%. The County’s 34.4% through the end of May is roughly one percentage point different from the increase year-over-year that was experienced last year through the same period.
