The Cape May County Park and Zoo hosted its Boo at the Zoo event on Saturday. It is one of the busiest days of the year at the Zoo, with hundreds of children coming out in their best Halloween costumes. The event is sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Commissioners. Children activities included a craft station, games, candy, entertainment, animals, inflatable obstacle course, pirate ship, and more.
“This year’s Boo at the Zoo was an amazing community event,” said Cape May County Commissioner Andrew Bulakowski, liaison to the Cape May County Park and Zoo. “I want to give credit to our staff at the Park and Zoo for their hard work. It was great seeing so many families enjoying this free event we provided to our County residents.”
A costume contest was held during the Boo at the Zoo with winner from various age groups beginning from infant through 5th grade along with a group category. A full list of winners is on the next page.
The Cape May County Zoo is open 364 days a year from 10 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. off Exit 11 on the Garden State Parkway. The Zoo is free to enter. Upcoming events include the Princess and Pirate Day on November 11 and Santa's Tree Lighting Celebration on November 25.
