The Cape May County 4-H Fair Foundation is excited to welcome back 12 time National Champion Mountain Bike Stunt Rider Mike Steidley to the 2016 Fair.
Last year, Steidley wowed fair goers with two performances of the Kenda/Mike Steidley Stunt Show. This year, the excitement doubles with 4 performances by Steidley. Chris Ohrenich, Entertainment Chair said, “Everyone was so thrilled by Steidley’s shows last year that we decided to add two more performances.” Ohrenich added, “Steidley will perform on Friday, July 22 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and on Saturday, July 23 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.”
The Kenda / Mike Steidley Stunt Show presented by Haro Bikes features an extreme, action-packed presentation of what is possible on a mountain bike, even if it looks impossible.
Steidley, of New Haven, Conn., has won 12 national championships in events sponsored by the National Off-Road Bicycle Association and the North American Trails Council. He has traveled to 23 countries and spends about 40 weekends a year performing at events. But he got his start practicing a move called “bunny hopping” over the curb in front of his house.
Using several metal platforms and a steel frame that resembles a staircase, Steidley will maneuver his custom-designed mountain bike to bounce, climb, leap, glide and even hang in the air to the delight of the audience. To learn more about Mike Steidley visit www.MikeSteidley.com.
Fair-goers can expect to see many of the things they have come to enjoy at this year’s July 21-23 fair, including livestock and equestrian shows, chicken BBQ, live music, vendors, pony rides, a farm market, a Maker Space in the Lockwood Center, a Children’s Discovery Farm, and a 4-H Color Fun Run.

Mark Your Calendars for the Fair: The annual 4-H fair runs July 21-23 at the 4-H fairgrounds located at 355 Court House – South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House. Public hours for the fair are noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free and there is a host of fun events Thursday through Saturday. Limited premium parking is available at the AtlanticCape Community College campus, located next door to the fairgrounds, for a suggested $5 donation.
The 4-H Youth Development program is part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County. Volunteers are always needed to assist at the 4-H Fair.
