[ARCHIVED] Scotch Bonnet Bridge in Stone Harbor Work on June 13th

June 9, 2017

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Scotch Bonnet Bridge in Stone Harbor Work on June 13

On Tuesday June 13th, Ricky Slade Construction, Inc, Bridgeton, NJ, will be working to address the roadway settlement at the east end of the Scotch Bonnet Bridge on Stone Harbor Boulevard in Middle Township.  In order to perform the work, directional traffic will be alternated in one lane by flaggers.  Work will begin at 7am.  The work is expected to take one day to complete and could extend into the evening hours.

The work consists on excavating immediately adjacent to the bridge and reconstructing the roadway pavement to eliminate the bump that has been caused by settlement of the underlying materials.

Scotch Bonnet Bridge is located midway between Cape May Court House and Stone Harbor.  This bridge was replaced in 1998.

Motorists are advised that the one lane of traffic during the construction operations will result in traffic delays.  Alternate route to avoid this construction is Avalon Boulevard for trucks and either Avalon Boulevard or North Wildwood Boulevard for cars.
