[ARCHIVED] Cape May County 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

The 16th Annual Cape May County Patriot’s Day Ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. at the Crest Haven Complex, in honor and remembrance of the 2,996 lives lost in the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

The Ceremony will take place in the front of the William E. Sturm Administration Building near the 9-11 Memorial Garden.  Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton will direct the ceremony that will include USCG Honor Guard Presentation of the Colors and 3 volley salute.  Speakers include USCG Captain Owen L. Gibbons, Commander TRACEN Cape May, Congressman Frank LoBiondo, Walter Nall, Colonel (Ret) New Jersey National Guard and Freeholder Jeffrey L. Pierson, Brigadier General (Ret.)

The public is encouraged to attend this ceremony and honor those innocent men, women and children who lost their lives 16 years ago.
