[ARCHIVED] Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Hosts The Truth About Gluten and Grains Workshop

Cape May Court House, NJ – Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences’ (FCHS) will hold a new workshop, The Truth About Gluten and Grains, on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. The program, part of an on-going wellness series offered by FCHS, will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey.


Participants at the Truth About Gluten and Grains workshop will learn what gluten is, if gluten-free equals weight loss, who should give up gluten, what is a whole grain, and why whole grains are good for you.

Marilou Rochford, FCHS Educator said, “ There is a lot of misinformation about gluten-free diets especially as they relate to weight loss. One of the goals of this workshop is to clear the air about the benefits and myths of a gluten-free diet.”


The workshop will include a lite supper. The cost to attend is $15 and advanced registration is required by November 21, 2018. Space is limited, so, please reserve your place early.
