[ARCHIVED] Cape May County Department of Health Will Be Hosting their Annual FREE Health Fair on April 4, 2020


 

Cape May Court House: Cape May County Freeholder Jeffrey Pierson is pleased to invite the public to the county’s annual Cape May County Healthcare Resource Day at the Wildwoods Convention Center on Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The free event will showcase 40 different healthcare organizations, Narcan training and health screenings. A major highlight of the day will be the free nutrition seminar on My Plate by Ani KarabashianSNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator from Community Foodbank of New Jersey.


“Come join us and explore all the health services Cape May County has to offer! Cape May County Healthcare Resource Day offers you the chance to explore a variety of health services under one roof. The event also gives you the opportunity to get your health in check by taking advantage of the free health screenings and health seminars offered at the event,” said Kevin Thomas, Health Officer.


Admission and parking for Cape May County Healthcare Resource Day are free to participants. The health seminar will be presented 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on My Plate by Ani Karabashian, SNAP-ED Nutrition Educator from the Community Foodbank of New Jersey. Narcan training will also be available by the Hope One Van. The free health screenings offered are courtesy of Parish Nursing and South Jersey AIDS Alliance. Screening mammograms will be available by the AMI Foundation Mammography Van. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Prescription may not be required but must provide current physician’s name. Call (609) 677-XRAY (9729) to schedule an appointment.

  • Cholesterol Screening
  • Blood Sugar Screening
  • Fracture Risk Screening
  • Peripheral Artery Screening
  • HIV/AIDS Testing
