Rutgers Cooperative Extension’s Family and Community Health Sciences Department will host “Go4Life Month" for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group. The event, coordinated by Marilou Rochford, will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Building located at 355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House. September is Go4Life Month, a national exercise and physical activity campaign to focus attention on the health benefits of exercise and physical activity for older adults. The goal of Go4Life Month is to encourage and enable older adults to incorporate physical activity into the everyday lives. The month's theme is Be Active Every Day! We welcome Dottie Drake of Miracles Fitness, as our guest speaker.
A light supper for the grandparents and grandchildren will be offered at 5:30PM, and the program will follow at 6:00PM. There is no charge for this program, but advanced registration is required. Please call Marian at (609) 465-5115, ext. “609” by September 16, 2015 to register, or for more information.
